ROSS TAYLOR IS AN ASSISTANT PROFESSOR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO BOULDER.

He teaches a range of classes in the Journalism Department in the College of Media, Communication and Information.

PHILOSOPHY
Ross is passionate about motivating students and professionals alike. His inclusive approach to pedagogy assists people of all ranges to find a place within the classroom and the industry.
CLASSES
Classes include large lecture, introductory courses of journalism, photojournalism, video journalism, data narrative and visualization, basic coding (HTML and CSS) and entrepreneurial journalism. 
RECOGNITION
Marinus Smith Award, University of Colorado Boulder. Award given to faculty/staff who make a significant impact in the life of a student.

 ABOUT PROJECT:
 Ross' first introduction to teaching was as a photo lab manager while a student at the University of North Carolina. He quickly developed a passion for mentorship, one that he carried with him through his professional. career. 

He has taught classes at Syracuse University and was a visiting professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He moved to Boulder in a visiting professor role which later was transitioned into a tenure track. He's also been a keynote speaker at International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care and lead six national photojournalism conferences (The Image, Deconstructed)
as well as a TEDx speaker.
